Konstanze
Waidosch
Born in 1991 in southern Germany, Konstanze Waidosch grew up in a household of violin and lute makers. She studied Baroque cello and viola da gamba at the Bremen University of the Arts and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (NL) with Viola de Hoog, Prof. Hille Perl, and Mieneke van der Velden. As a continuo player and soloist, she explores the tonal colours of the various bass and tenor instruments, such as the basse de violon or the five-string violoncello piccolo.
As a member of and guest with ensembles such as the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Academia Montis Regalis, Collegium Vocale Gent Academy, Händelfestspielorchester Halle, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Bremer Barockorchester, Göttinger Barockorchester, Barockwerk Hamburg, and Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg, she moves fluidly between the repertoire of the early seventeenth century and the Romantic era.

She has performed at international festivals including the Styriarte Festival Graz, Festival Donizetti, Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, Thüringer Bachwochen, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, Telemann-Festtage Magdeburg, Winter in Schwetzingen, Trigonale Alte Musik Festival, and the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, working with musicians such as Dorothee Oberlinger, Christoph Prégardien, Hille Perl, Rachel Podger, Maurice Steger, Ton Koopman, Pieter Wispelwey, Michael Form, and Shunske Sato.
A dedicated teacher, Konstanze Waidosch teached Baroque cello at the University of Church Music and Music Education in Regensburg and now gives chamber music courses and masterclasses in early music throughout Germany. Since 2026, she curates the concert series Heiligenberger Abendserenaden.
